What made you decide to join PAYER in the first place, and what inspires you about your work here today?
After successfully completing my high school diploma at BHAK Monsbergergasse in Graz, I was looking for an exciting job. I finally joined PAYER in 1999 and was immediately involved in implementing a new merchandise management system in warehouse logistics. My dad worked as an electrician at PAYER at the time, and I had been fascinated by the company since my childhood. Today, I particularly enjoy the good cooperation with employees and colleagues. The diverse challenges surrounding the continuous development of our location, especially in the technological field, are a decisive reason why I enjoy going to work every day.
Which moments have stayed with you in particular?
Over the years, I have experienced both highs and lows with PAYER. It was the often challenging times, from which PAYER always emerged stronger, that made a particular impression on me. One special experience for me was when I was given responsibility for production at the Austrian site three years ago. Since then, I have been working with a great team that I am very proud of.
You have developed step by step. What was your personal motivation?
For me, it is definitely curiosity and the desire to constantly develop and learn about new and exciting areas. PAYER’s diverse opportunities offer me the perfect platform for personal and professional development.
Over the last 25 years, you have experienced many changes in both the corporate environment and the industry. What has proven successful in your view?
In today’s constantly changing world, we are all challenged to think in new ways and remain flexible. Nevertheless, I have found that it is important to carefully consider which steps are necessary first, and then pursue them consistently with clear goals and focus.
Next year, PAYER will celebrate its 80th anniversary. What does this anniversary mean to you?
I am filled with pride to be part of PAYER’s long and successful history.
