In April 1946, Eduard Payer founded the company with a clear vision: to develop and produce the world’s best electric shaver for men.

In the decades following its founding, PAYER continued to evolve and established itself early on as a global provider of electric men’s shavers. Technological progress, design collaborations, and a consistent focus on quality laid the foundation for today’s international success. In addition, building on its existing expertise, PAYER expanded its portfolio to include new strategic business areas—such as medical technology.
In recent years, the company has focused, among other things, on the targeted expansion of its Styrian headquarters. Through extensive investments in modernization, infrastructure, and the expansion of production capacity, a strong foundation for further growth has been established. At the same time, PAYER has received numerous national and international awards as well as customer awards. With an additional location in Malaysia, PAYER is also expanding its global footprint and thereby strengthening its operational resilience.
This year, in its anniversary year, PAYER is continuing its investments at the Styrian headquarters and expanding its fully automated high-tech production capacities in the Personal Health sector to meet the rising demand from an internationally successful customer that is a leader in its industry.
