PAYER officially opens the 1st expansion & conversion phase and
toasts 75 years of company anniversary
On September 17, 2021, the first phase of the expansion & reconstruction of the Styrian headquarters, Technology & Innovation Center of PAYER Group, was officially opened during a small celebration and the 75th anniversary was toasted. PAYER can look back on 75 years of successful company history thanks to the outstanding commitment of its employees, strong innovative power and distinctive entrepreneurial spirit.
After the welcoming speech by CEO Michael Viet, PAYER was congratulated by Josef Birnstingl, Barbara Eibinger-Miedl, Stefan Stolitzka, Gernot Pagger, Helmut Röck and Johann Harer. In the course of company tours, the guests and all employees were shown the modernizations and expansions that had been carried out.
What was changed in the first construction phase?
The following changes or renovations were made in order to constantly advance the company's technological edge and innovative strength:
Expansion of production specialized in medical technology
Expansion of the Cutter Competence Center
Modernization of the laboratory and testing infrastructure
Redesign of office space and meeting rooms
Creation of new work areas through redesigns
What is planned for the second construction phase?
The manufacturing area will be expanded, creating around 500 m² of additional production space. Furthermore, parts of the warehouse will be renovated and expanded, especially the goods-in and goods-out areas, including the logistics offices. In addition, the premises of the "Global Technology & Innovation Management" department will be modernized. The second construction phase is expected to be completed in the spring of next year.
In addition to the total investment volume of more than 5 million euros in the Styrian headquarters, investments are being made in human resources and many new employees also started at PAYER. Especially in the Healthcare & Medical area, staff continues to be taken on.
