Change in management
Jörg MICHEL took over as General Manager at PAYER Hungary Kft. He has already gained experience as General Manager at Prevent Romania SRL and has acted as a Consultant for production and quality management at GST Seton Leather.

Herbert Schöffmann, Chief Business Development Officer of the PAYER group is to leave the company by best and mutual agreement. Long-time Chief Executive Officer Franz-Karl Jenny will continue to manage the successful development of the group.

15 years PAYER China
For the 15 years anniversary of PAYER China, almost 500 employees and close business partners were invited. The enjoyable entertainment program of the company testivity was organised and performed by the employees themselves. Within the context of this event, employees of long-years company membership were honoured as well as employees with outstanding performance in 2017.
New premises in Kecskemét
In 2017, the PAYER group was able to acquire a plastics processing plant in Hungary, Kecskemét.
On the total plant area of 5.300m2 there are 19 injection moulding machines of 22 to 250 tons clamping force, two assembly halls with 5 assembly lines, a tool shop as well as machines for component printing. The new plant will be managed by the organization in Ajka and will enable the group to realize the further growth in Hungary. [01/2018]
PAYER Ungarn wächst und investiert in Fertigung
Das Wachstum und der hohe Auslastungsgrad in der Fertigung bei über 350 Tonnen Schließkraft führte zur Anschaffung zweier Spritzgussmaschinen. Die installierten Maschinen haben eine Schließkraft von 400 bzw. 560 Tonnen wobei eine Maschine für den 2K-Spritzguss ausgelegt ist. [01/2018]
Ausbau der Fertigungskapazitäten bei PAYER China
Das Wachstum bei PAYER in Suzhou machen eine Umstrukturierung des Werkes notwendig. Erster Schritt ist die Verlagerung der Montage einiger Kundenprojekte in die zweite Fertigungsstätte innerhalb der Exportzone in Suzhou. Der dadurch gewonnene Platz kommt der Vergrößerung des Spritzgussbereiches sowie der Fertigung zu Gute. Im Spritzgussbereich werden in den nächsten 12 Monaten mehrere neue Maschinen angeschafft. Weiters wird der Toolshop ausgebaut und ein umfassendes Qualitätszentrum aufgebaut. [01/2018]
PAYER Medical auf der Compamed 2017
DIE Zulieferermesse im europäischen Raum „COMPAMED“ öffnete von 13. bis 16. November wieder im Rahmen der MEDICA ihre Pforten. PAYER Medical war am Gemeinschaftsstand der WKO vertreten und präsentierte das Leistungsspektrum mit Fokus auf die Realisierung von kundenspezifischen Lösungen im Bereich der Point-of-Care Diagnostik. Extended customer focus in the Medical business
Despite of the phase-out of the sensor production in Graz, PAYER Medical GmbH on the site in St. Bartholomä remains an integral part of the PAYER group. The main areas of activity still are the development, industrialization and production of consumables and assemblies for point-of-care diagnostics. Especially the high vertical integration and the possibility to produce from small series to large scale are well received in the market. The focus will lie on the core competences of 2K/3K injection moulding, insert moulding of metals, new materials and automated solutions. [11/2017]
Like "Phoenix" from the ashes: the new cutting units by PAYER
"Phoenix" is the slogan of the cutting unit development at PAYER in Austria. It includes all the development steps that promise an even more thorough and smooth electric shave. Completely renewed are the development and manufacture of the FCU (flat cutting unit) as well as the foil cutting elements, which are the lamella under the foil responsible for a particularly smooth shaving. Cutting units made by PAYER will pave the way for well-known customers in the industry and so contribute to a continuous expansion of our hair removal business. [8/2017]
Digitalisation towards industry 4.0
An enhanced Product Lifecycle Management tool will soon be implemented at the PAYER Group. It combines all the information about the product life cycle from the idea over development to serial production in a central data base. This is a first and important step towards industry 4.0. 1946 - 2016: 70 years anniversary of PAYER
In 1946 Eduard Payer founded the company and started the electric shaver development and production in Graz. He innovated the branch and in 1952 he bought a castle in Reiteregg (near Graz), the companies current headquarters. Today, the PAYER group develops and produces worldwide, present at five locations.
